BT Data Upload not functioning correctly

Used the BT Data Download to upload into Simple Fund using the Transaction Upload process according to BGL’s instructions. Noticed that the AMIT does not record correctly in Tax Deferred, instead gets put in Tax Exempt and some AMIT do not appear at all. Now having to remove a lot of disposals, and manually enter components correctly and reprocess the disposals. BGL are aware that the upload doesn’t work, but haven’t advised users. Very frustrating, would have been quicker to enter it all manually, the process shouldn’t be available if they can’t get it to work correctly, and at least should state on the instructions that some components have to be manually entered.

Hello Stacey,

Thank you for your feedback.
One of our team members will be in contact to obtain further information.
Our sincerest apologies for the inconvenience this has caused.

We will review the current process and make the necessary changes where required.
Once again, thank you for your time and feedback on this.

Hi Stacey,

The BT Annual Tax Statements are wrong, for example MGE0001AU - Magellan Global Fund, the tax statement is missing the CGT Concessional Amount. This is why the data that is coming into BGL is incorrect.

To overcome this we are deleting the components and using the BGL automated tax data if the fund has held the investment for the full 12 months.

Hi Sarah, good luck with the work-around, unfortunate that something that is meant to be an automated process has to be manually fiddled with. BGL don’t seem to be doing a lot with Simple Fund to improve functionality, a lot of the instructions are years old and they don’t seem to update, and a lot of the help items that come up in searches are only for 360. We’re looking to migrate to 360 or move to Class Super.
